Adopt a Puzzle Piece
Since we are currently a waiting family, our future is clear -- we will bring home Baby Hogg! However, the timeline is very unknown. We could be matched with a family within months, or it could take much longer than that. We have prayed endlessly for this opportunity and we know that God will provide us with the strength to overcome these difficult times while we wait.
If you are not familiar with adoption, one of the underlying hardships of the process is the financial hurdle each family must overcome. We have saved, but there is no way for us to be able to save the amount that we need without it taking many, many years. Due to our own stubborn personalities and pride, we have struggled with asking for help. We've debated how to do this without bothering anyone. But, it's not entirely realistic. So, we humbly come to you, our support system and ask if you could please help us. We need our village as we cannot complete this journey alone.
We have 288 blank puzzle pieces, numbered 1-288 respectively. Each number represents a dollar amount (ex. piece #5 = $5). We ask that you consider adopting a numbered puzzle piece and donate that amount. You can adopt a combination of numbers or adopt a piece as a group. Once you have adopted your piece, we will write your name on the corresponding piece. We hope to fill each piece with your names and love so that we may frame this puzzle for display in Baby Hogg's room. This way he/she can be reminded each day of the countless prayers and endless love from his/her support system -- our village.
We will keep you updated as to which pieces have been adopted, and which are still available!
How do you donate? Our preferred method is through the mail, or in person. Please send us an email at bringinghomebabyhogg@gmail.com and we will send you our mailing address. For anyone who would prefer to donate online or using a credit card, we've set up the ability to donate through PayPal using the button on this page. Any and all amounts are incredibly appreciated! To outline the financial responsibilities that the adoption process involves, we've broken down the current fees for an average adoption through Haven Adoptions. Our adoption could be as much as $40,000 to $45,000.
Fee Schedule:
Active Waiting List: $3000
FITT Program: $6000
Match Fee: $27,000
Other Fees: up to $8000: Attorney fees, medical expenses above insurance coverage for the birth mother, transfer fees from other states
