Nursery and Puzzle Update

We have a lot to be thankful for this week and wanted to send out some more photos of our progress in the nursery. It's amazing how fast everything feels like it's moving and I'm so thankful for Shana and her creativity and hard work.

First, we rehabbed my childhood dresser into an updated changing table for Baby Hogg. It's always surprising how far a little elbow grease, paint, and new hardware goes towards making something old feel new again.

We had so much fun upcycling my old dresser that Shana thought we could use her childhood bassinet to create a perfect reading bench for Baby Hogg to grow into. We loved being able to bring something from both our childhoods and incorporate it into our nursery. After being in storage for 31 years, the bassinet needed a little TLC but with some framing added and Shana upholstering a bench seat, we love the finished look. 

After searching high and low for the best deals on outfitting our nursery at probably 4-6 stores we managed to add quite a few pieces this week. We found a wonderful crib, a stroller/car seat combo, a pack and play, a swing, a diaper bag, and Shana found a great used glider on a local Facebook garage sale page for mothers. What a deal and wow is it comfortable! Fermi and Tesla also love that the nursery is taking shape. Fermi loves sleeping under the crib and looks forward to convincing a baby that monsters really do live under their bed. Tesla is just happy to have more soft places to sleep in the afternoon sunlight. 

Finally, we would be remiss if we didn't stop and say thank you to everyone who has adopted a puzzle piece so far. Your generosity and kindness is a constant reminder of the love around us and we are so grateful for your support. We mounted all six puzzles on decorative wood and we will be hanging them around the nursery soon.
