We're Famous!

(Well, not really. But, it sure feels that way!) 😎

Hey everyone!

Sorry to have been away for a bit. We've had a whirlwind of a few months here. At the end of June, we had an adoption BBQ party! We celebrated Baby Hogg with friends, family, and coworkers! By celebrate, we mean, we ate a TON of food. From hot dogs to hamburgers, pulled pork to various kinds of Portuguese sausage, Mexican street corn, and macaroni and cheese ... we stuffed our faces and had a great time. We even finished the night with some card games.

In July, we were able to find some time to take a quick weekend trip down to Washington, DC. We even brought Rosalind! We had a great time walking around and looking at all the monuments and essentially being the stereotypical tourist family. Roz takes some pretty awesome photos. 😍

Super Secret K-9 Puppers!

Despite the heat, we still have some big smiles!

Roz and the Washington Monument. She is the best at sitting pretty!

Christmas Card 2017. Get ready guys! 😆

Roz and her scientific mentor, Albert Einstein.

Roz has actually had a bit of a tough August. She was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor on her paw. Essentially, she has a growth on the bottom of her paw that was found to be cancerous. She has been through a lot of tests - including ultrasounds, x-rays, and a ton of blood work. She's pretty much being a great patient. Happy as a clam, despite being poked and prodded. After some time, we finally got some great news! The cancer is localized to the mass on her paw only. There is no evidence of mast cells in her blood or on her other organs. So, the doctor's plan is to treat the inflammation of the growth with steroids and hope that it shrinks enough to be able to be removed safely. In the meantime, she is enjoying her cheese cubes that we hide her medicine in. 😏 If you want to read more about mast cell tumors in dogs, you can click this link and it will explain a bit more about Roz's condition. Mast Cell Tumors in Dogs
